Questions and Answers for TRUporte 48 in. x 80 in. 106 Series White Composite Interior Sliding Door

A:  Your opening would need to be 48" or a bit smaller for the doors to fit properly.

A:  The doors are a thin composite material with metal side, top and bottom rails. They have fixed top rollers and bottom guides. Doors are actually 78" with top and bottom tracks that they ride in. They cannot be trimmed. I've installed many of these and the smallest opening I've been able to squeeze them into was 79-3/4

A:  Yes but you’d have to cut down the header which is metal, and the doors would overlap an extra 6 inches. 

A:  No. This item cannot be painted due to it has a gloss finish and the paint may not stick.

A:  I would not suggest putting the two doors together as your width would be 96" causing a large amount of overlap for an 80" opening. I would suggest ordering a 100 series model that can be special ordered in a 96x96, this panel will be flush white and not decorative.

A:  We do not recommend painting or staining this item as it is finished with a gloss coating.

A:  The finished opening is 48" x 80"-81"

A:  Yea but they will over lap some when fully closed

A:  It is not possible to cut. Each door is pressed cardboard in a metal frame. 

A:  These doors are by pass doors, no need to trim

A:  You can trim the top and bottom track but not the door panels.

A:  No

A:  Yes you can cut the frame to fit your opening. We had to remove a couple of inches as well.
