I was very displeased with the quality of this closet door. I thought wow what a great price considering bi-fold doors were in the $350 range. The label was very misguiding, they are not real doors, they are cheap pieces of mdf veneered to look like a door. I will not buy this product again and I will not recommend to anybody.

Cheaper than china
I bought these because they said made in America and were within my budget. They are absolutely the cheapest Panel doors I've ever seen. The back of the doors are unfinished and they are so thin a strong breeze could probably knock a hole in them. See pic

They Are What They Are
Look, there's already tons of reviews on these doors. If you spend 30 seconds in the review section you'll know these are imitation doors, only to be used for cover up. I had no other solution for this 8ft wide pantry other than these or custom bifolds. They do the job they're intended to do. Installation was easy with one person and the correct tools. They slide very nice I imagine partly due to them being so light. Still don't agree with them being $70 a piece but nothing's cheap anymore.

Lowest Quality I can imagine
When we opened this door, we were absolutely shocked at the quality. The whole door is about 1/8" thick - the back of it isn't even painted white, so it really looks for all the world like cardboard.
Our door wasn't perfectly 48" - that's the main reason we chose this type of door, so we wouldn't have to try to trim down a bi-fold door. The top and bottom track and trim/facia had to be trimmed - that was anticipated and instructions were included for this cut-down. However, the facia piece is so incredibly thin that it moved and flopped while my husband was cutting it, and it turned out crooked and slightly bent.
The facia piece is necessary to cover the silver-colored mounting hardware.
I suppose if you have specialized metal-cutting tools you might be able to make a better cut, but the instructions clearly show using a hacksaw - which we used.
I just really want to stress again that this is the cheapest possible door.

Does the job as a closet door. If you need something sturdy, choose something else. As long as you dont have rambunctious kiddos, these work well and look nice. I noticed the reviews said the hardware is not included. That is wrong! It is included, yay. I bought the hardware only to have to return it...annoying.

We are sorry to hear that you aren't happy with these doors. We do our best to inform the customers of the materials that these closet doors are made of prior to purchasing. These doors are made from a solid piece of hardboard and built with a steel surround which is used to hold the connectors in place to allow the door to properly slide. We show a 360 degree image of the door as well as images of the front and the back. This door has been chosen as a product in the closet assortment because it is a cost effective alternative for a closet door and meets the requirements of many homeowners, builders and property managers. We would be happy to help out more should you have any questions.

mediocre quality, "white" will need painted to look white
The door panels themselves are about 1/4" thick and feel a bit cheap to the touch. With an 80" height you will have to decide on a cheap looking gap at the top or the bottom. My biggest problem is that the "bright white" trim is nowhere near the white of the doors or standard trim/ceiling white paint

We bought 2 sets of these doors for bedroom closets. They slide really nice, look good and definitely brightened up the rooms. We had them installed 2 weeks ago. I must say they're a little flimsy, but they work out for us! I'd definitely recommend them!

This is probably the cheapest made product in the world. Definitely the cheapest product I've ever bought at Home Depot. There is no back or thickness to these, it's basically a cheap illusion of a door. They say 80" tall. The really are 78", so I had to add my own filler under the slider strip to close the view of the closet. The slider strip is unsightly and will surely be a nuisance or worse to your feet. The workmanship is poor. Warped, crooked brace on back and uneven hot glue assembly equals a warped door. The metal side pieces come loose just taking it out of the box. They are just loosely pressed on and come right off if you are not careful. Rollers are fine, roll well.

Good morning George and thank you for your inquiry. We are sorry you were not satisfied with your closet door purchase. We do our best to inform our customers that this door is only finished on one side and is done so to ensure we provide the lowest price possible. As this is a bypass closet door, there is no need to see both sides of the door and due to the composite construction, it is a lightweight and a cost-effective alternative to a hollow core door. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Service team. 1.800.493.5263

Doors look beautiful, and so easy to install. I painted them white with an oil base paint, so I expect they will be easy to wipe down and durable for a long time, as they are in a teenager's room. My only concern is that they are very lightweight, but because they have a rail at the bottom they stay in place and feel sturdy. I would recommend this product. Good product for the price.

Did the job---but---was thinner than I expected. Would have been helpful if the directions had said to tilt the doors then "snap" into place when angling back---spent quite some time trying to get the doors into the track---for the price these serve their purpose

Suited my need
These doors are not high quality. I had read plenty of reviews prior to my purchase and figured that they would work since I was using them in a guest room and there was not going to be a lot of heavy use. They look great and really added a nice look to my room. The previous closet doors were heavy solid wood, and these pale in comparison the quality, but the old doors were out-dated and these are very modern and clean. They are cardboard thin though - I mean it! This is no exaggeration! If your space is less than 48" (mine was 47") then each set of doors will require three cuts on metal rails (top and bottom) and the fascia. This part is difficult to do if you don't have the proper tools and work area. We had problems cutting straight lines. The fascia is the only thing that suffered, as it is front facing and there as a cosmetic detail. We filled in area with caulk and I painted the fascia white to match the frame. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and my room looks new!

Serves the purpose -- easy to install.
I used 3 sets of these doors on a flip house. These are easier than building your own kit as offered with HD competitors. They were relatively easy to install if you have a long drill bit. You have to adjust the set screw at the top of the doors before they will hang on the track and readjust them once they are hung and in the floor track. The decorative valance guard that covers your gap at the top is hard to saw straight and I made the mistake of putting it in a vice that scratched the paint off. If your opening is a full 48" you don't have to worry about that. The closet openings I had were only 47". My photos show them installed without the valance guard at the top. The doors themselves are only a shell and look like cardboard on the back side. They will surely work fine if used by adults. I probably wouldn't put something that thin in a rental.

Decent product for the price
This product is light weight, easy to install and functional. The doors are somewhat flexible though and appear like they could easily be broken. I would not recommend for a kid room.
