A: I hooked up 6 LED up lights at 10 watts each and according to my math, I could add 10 more lights based on the length (over 100 ft.) with the transformer I bought. The transformer will give you a calculation on size of wire to use based on total length of wire needed and wattage (lights) you plan to hook up.

A: yes it can take the load fine. But that is low voltage wire and should only be used on like 12 volt dc lights

A: It actually depends on your transformer. The Guage of wire really depends on how long the wire will be from the transformer. If you have a longer run, using higher Guage wire may result in voltage drop. I have about 15 lights out front on 1 transformer. Most are pretty close to my house. The longest run I have is by the curb. I used 16/2 wire and t'd it off. The transformer plugged into the outlet is over 100 watts. Seems to work fine. I've had them out for 4 years now.

A: It can handle the load. but this is low voltage wire for 12 volt DC. It shouldn't be used on 120 volt AC

Q:Second question, my 1003 453 351 4 pack set states 4 watt i guess per led lamp so that would total 16 watt load so a 60 watt transformer would be large enough. Then what size wire can i use for a 100 ft run. Would 16/2 work?

A: Use a low volt wire intended for landscape. Transformers use about 80% of thier watts effectivley. One rule is to buy the transformer at doule the total watt number of all your fixtures added together. Example: 4 fixtures @50watts (200 watt total) would be a 400 watt transformer.
