A:  I use my Shark vacuum on my area rug. The handle has a suction control which I use for my area rug,

A:  I definitely feel like this vacuum has enough suction. When vacuuming our wall to wall carpets, it definitely had enough suction to actually pull up the carpet itself, not in a damaging way, but it feels like the vacuum head has made a solid connection to the carpet and is pulling all the dirt out.

A:  Well I did not have that experience at all. Try washing it first and letting it dry thoroughly before vacuuming again.

A:  Just hve to clean it..I blow mine with air...and I rent my rv...so it does the job..just clean with air....

A:  I asked my wife the question and she said it's a struggle to push on a plush carpet. This would depends on your age (arm strength).

A:  This one pushes easily, but I have low pile rugs

A:  This one is very tough to use on thick carpet.

A:  You have to remove 8 screws from the bottom of the motor housing. Two of them are located under each wheel. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver number 2 size

A:  Love this vacuum but for some reason the cord is always under my feet. If they could put it higher on the unit I think it would help. Works great though
