A:  For best results, it's best to not mow within 2 days before Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed 3 is applied. Mowing the lawn less than 2 days before the application can significantly lessen the weed surface that the product has to stick to.

A:  It kills some crabgrass, not all you need to purchase a crabgrass preventer
