Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Deb. The reason online products are sold by the case is for shipping purposes. In many instances, including this one with Rust-Oleum Stops rust Anti-Slip Spray, items must be shipped by case quantities. For this reason, when purchasing items online, they must be purchased in this way. For individual cans, we recommend contacting your local Home Depot store to see if they have the product in stock. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

Q:I have wood stairway handrails going down into my basement and there slippery would this be a good product for getting a better grip on stairway handrails?

Answer This Question
A: Good question Lee! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Anti Slip can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces including wood handrails. Be sure to shake the can vigorously for at least one minute once the mixing ball begins to rattle and shake frequently during use. Shaking keeps the anti slip pigment properly dispersed in the can. When you coat the handrails be sure to cover any nearby surfaces to protect from overspray.

Q:Is it a hard, gritty surface or a soft, rubbery surface? I would like to use it on slippery handrails, but I don’t want a sandpaper finish. I’m looking more for a rubbery grip that is easy on the hands.

A: Thank you for reaching out! Our Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Anti-Slip Slip Resistant Coating dries to a hard, slightly textured finish. The finish will feel similar to sandpaper, rather than a rubber grip. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2
