A: You can take the tool back to your local Home Depot Store and they will assist you with the exchange. IF that is not a convenient option for you you can also reach out directly to the AMES customer service team for assistance. PH: 1-800-393-1846, E-Mail: customerservice@ames.com

A: IN ONE WORD. NO. The company makes it clear that if something happens it is likely your fault, on their site, and if you do not still have the receipt, they will do NOTHING. This stuff is Chinese junk. Mine cracked as well.

A: Razorback web site clearly states 90 day warranty even though Home Depot site clearly states " Lifetime Warranty" Clearly it is not very clear.

A: The answer I posted earlier, indicating that only a 90-day warranty is provided, is incorrect. I have learned that Ames offers a Lifetime Warranty on Razorback shovels. After I posted a critical review on homedepot.com, Ames contacted me and then sent me a replacement shovel via UPS. Great customer service!

A: 25.75 inches is the measurement of the handle. Total length of this shovel is 45.25 inches. Item # 2531800 is 25 inches total length and would be a good choice for a compact shovel.
