A: You can order the SMALL doors. I have the small set and they measure 37.5" wide. The height is only 28" but it comes with an extension that adds 2" to the height which will be perfect for what you need. I shopped around and found these door to be the most reasonable priced on the market. I have used them for a year now and am very happy with them. They not only work great when the fire is burning but save in the summer when I am running the AC and do not want the hot air coming down the chimney. My fireplace does not seem to have a damper that I can close (probably not thought necessary in CA back in the 1950s) so these doors solved that problem. I am very, very happy with these handsome doors.

Answer This Question
A: I believe this is a brass finish rather than solid brass. It looks great and seems very stable. They look brand new after a year of use so I have no complaints about their appearance or sturdiness. I believe solid brass would come at a significantly higher cost.

Q:When I do not use a fireplace, I have seen a fan in the chimney that draws hot air from the interior of my house by chimney. Can your fireplace doors stop this airflow? Even in the case of the Carrington Medium Glass Fireplace Doors article with a door like this?

A: Hello Pires,
While our doors are designed to keep warm air in the room it is possible that some of that air will escape from the fireplace itself. GHP Group Customer Support Team

A: If properly sealed it helps stop this heat loss. I bought it for that reason. It's not perfect but helps a lot.
That said, why do you have a fan in the chimney? That sounds very strange to me.
