A: Hello Varandas, Our medium glass doors will be a great addition to your fireplace opening. Our medium doors will fit a width of 30"-37" and 25.5"-32.5" height. The glass doors must be left open when a fire is burning in the fireplace. The mesh doors can be closed to prevent sparks from escaping into the room. Our screen doors have a damper at the bottom that allows air into the fireplace. GHP Group Support Team

Q:My doors are very nice operationally, but seem to be a dark brown color, not brass, even antique brass. The pictures on this web site show a more brassy color. Did I get a defective coating on mine? Will they get lighter when used for a while? I mentioned this in my review.

Q:Why is the product shorter than the opening according to the measurements on the webpage? It doesn't make sense. Our fireplace opening is 28 wide and 24 high. we realize we have to trim back bricks a little for width.

A: The unit comes with a 2" extension that attaches to the top of the unit so it will fit a larger opening. According to your measurements you will not need the extension since the small unit is 28" high and 37.5" wide. You will not need to trim anything because the door attach to the front of the fireplace opening and not inside it. I hope this helps.

A: Yes, the small doors with fit perfectly for an opening that size. They measure 37.5" wide and 28" high. It is best if your fireplace has a flat surface so the overhang can be flat against the front of the opening. I had natural stone that was uneven so I had to use a disk grinder to take down the high spots. It worked great but the dust created by the work was a bit of a mess. These are great doors at a great price and I think you will enjoy them.
