Q:How well does this screening hold up to bird hits versus fiberglass, et. al.?

Answer This Question

A:  The aluminum screen is much better than the fiberglass hands down. I have a large screened in porch that gets a direct hit from the south wind. I first used fiberglass which would fail in high winds often. The aluminum screen has held up without any issues.

A:  I would say very well. Fiberglass screen is junk compared to aluminum screen cloth. But sometimes fiberglass is easier to work with and the only way to go. Aluminum is best used for screened porches. Fiberglass is best used on screen doors and windows.

A:  I guess it kinda depends on how big the bird is. My experience with this material is it's going to pull away from however you have the edges secured before it's going to rip down the middle
