A: I prefer to look through the dark screens, so it's just a matter of preference for me. I don't know if there are advantages as far as rust is concerned, but the dark hasn't rusted over the two years it's been installed.

A: Don’t know that there is. We just picked the dark for appearance. Our’s has been on our screened in porch for a year and is holding up well. No rust.
