A: Yes,provided you have a good level sub surface No problem .Great nailer, easy to use.
A: I used it for three-quarter inch tongue and groove oak flooring. If I recall it comes with more than one plate for the bottom so you should be able to use it for five eights.
A: I’m not sure. It no longer works. It did not hold up over time.
A: Yes, Mike
A: I used this on 3/4" flooring and had no issues, but assume you are using for decking or some other special application. I think the only concern would be the 2" cleats reaching to the attachment point. Best recommendation would be to get it and give it a try and if it doesn't work for your application it is really easy to take back. If it does work then it will be a huge time saver.
A: FS are flooring staples “U” shaped and FC are flooring cleats “L or T” shaped. Make sure you use an under-layment either paper or I use #30 felt paper. Make sure you make the boards tight and leave 3/4” gaps along walls.
A: FC = Flooring Cleat FS = Flooring Staple You can certainly punch the model number into Youtube and find some helpful videos for tips! Feel free to give us a call directly as well: 1-888-669-5672
A: Full Cleat or staple. Great product just wish it had a storage box. If the have one let me know,it didn't come with one. Otherwise, easy and effectiant.
A: FS stands for floor stapler (staples) and FC stands for floor cleat (nails). Depends on flooring. Solid hardwood normally use cleat and Engineering hardwood use staples. My floor's solid red mahogany (3/4" thick) and I used cleats. Thanks
A: The FC stands for flooring cleat and the FS flooring staple.
A: You'll probably want to use a Framing Nailer for 2x4 studs.
A: This is a wood floor stapler/nailer. You need a framing nailer.
A: Not a floor nailer.
A: You would need a framing nailer. Here are a couple examples: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Pneumatic-3-1-2-in-21-Degree-Full-Head-Strip-Framing-Nailer-DPFR2190/204087184 and https://www.homedepot.com/p/NuMax-Pneumatic-21-Degree-Full-Head-Strip-Framing-Nailer-SFR2190/202101759
A: Not a floor nailer. You need a 8 and 16d nailer for studs or just a hammer and nails.
A: My 3/4 inch sfl618 NuMax nailer came with 3/4" footplate attached. A 3/8" footplate was in the box as well.
A: The SFL618 does not have a 3/8" Base plate available because it is designed to install 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" Solid Hardwoods, given that it shoots 15.5ga staples and 16ga cleats. If you're looking to install 3/8" (engineered) flooring you'll likely be required to use either 18ga L-cleats or 18ga narrow crown staples. Verify the recommended fastener with flooring manufacturer so you don't void the warranty. Here are two 18ga options for you: PF18GLCN: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-18-Gauge-L-Cleat-Flooring-Nailer-PF18GLCN/203954526 DPFBC940: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Pneumatic-18-Gauge-4-in-1-Mini-Flooring-Nailer-and-Stapler-DPFBC940/300657003?keyword=dpfbc940&semanticToken=20030+++%3E++++st%3A%7Bdpfbc940%7D%3Ast++cn%3A%7B0%3A0%7D++dpfbc94+%7Bproductkey%7D
A: It comes with several plates, you can easily make one, or add a thin shim for a perfect fit. I was ver pleased with this tool.
A: It comes with plates for 3/8 / 1 /2 in the box
A: Mike: Thank you for your inquiry with HomeDepot.com. Home Depot does not sell the replacement parts for this flooring nailer. You may be able to order this item directly from the vendor, NuMax by calling 1-888-669-5672 or go to their website www.numaxtools.com. To assist you with the part number, attached is a link to the Parts List: https://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/49/496d2649-d402-4090-8d24-72bbc48385b1.pdf We hope this information is helpful, we appreciate your business.
A: The Numax Flooring nailer/stapler will shoot 1-1/2" and 2" long 16ga cleats, or 15.5ga flooring staples. It is designed to be used for Tongue and Groove flooring, as it shoots in at a 45 degree angle. It will install T&G flooring ranging 1/2" to 3/4" thick.
A: Perfect to put down 3/4''OSB I recommend every 6'', also can use T-Cleats, L-cleats and Staples max length 2'' Great tool !!
A: You have to either adjust the depth setting or use pneumatic lubricant regularly or both.
A: Maybe the air compressor is not strong enough or maybe you need to hit the nail gun harder. Thanks
A: This is difficult to answer with no context. If you can please contact us directly, we would be glad to do some trouble shooting with you and get you back up and running! 1-888-669-5672
A: Not sure how to answer this question except offer 2 possibilities. Maybe the air pressure is not high enough? Or the user did not apply enough oil or as frequently as needed?
A: Are you using the same size nails and the same pneumatic pressure settings as you used the first time? If you are using a larger nail and/or attempting to nail a more dense material (oak vs pine) then you will need to increase the PSI to the gun. Hope this helps.
A: I used them with the 2" 15 gauge 1/2 crown Powernail staples on my 3/4" hickory and they worked flawlessly in this Stapler.
A: Yes, I used the Powernail 2" which I bought at Homedepot. I did not encounter any problems with this.
A: Yes
A: Home centers and online from Amazon and Ebay
A: At the same place you purchase the nail gun.
A: I used the 2" wood floor nails that I had left over from before. When I ran out my wife ran to local lumber yard and bought a box of 1,000 for $125. Came home and told me this and had minor heart attack and called the rental counter at HD and he said that HD's are like $18. Turns out the lumber yards were stainless steel and the HD were not. Since it was for a floor in my den (inside the house!) there was no problem using the $18 ones. I used about a half of this box of 1,000 and no jams and no problem. Save the money and get these.
A: Your local Home Depot should have the fasteners you need on the shelf. Any brand of fastener will work with this nailer. You have the option of 15.5ga Flooring Staples, 16ga L-cleats (both of these should be on the shelf in your local store) and 16ga T cleats, which you would likely have to purchase online. Home Depot will likely have the Bostitch/Dewalt brand on the shelf. You can also purchase Freeman brand on Homedepot.com: 16ga 2" L-cleats: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-2-in-16-Gauge-L-Cleat-Flooring-Nails-FNL-2/203502916 16ga 2" T-cleats: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-2-in-16-Gauge-T-Cleat-Flooring-Nails-FNT-2/203502921 15.5ga 2" Flooring Staples: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-2-in-Flooring-Staples-FS-2/203502905 15.5ga 1.5" Flooring Staples: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-1-1-2-in-Flooring-Staples-FS-15/203502902
A: Home Depot, and online. Stick to name brands to avoid jamming.
A: i ordered this online and it came straight to my house no extra charges
A: I ordered Home Depot online. Not sure if you can have ship to store but do believe cannot just get off the shelf.
