A:  It will click and lock into the hex chuck.

A:  i think it depends on your impact driver.most have a collar that you pull out while inserting the bit, or in this case the adapter.the collar will secure the bit, to remove you pull the collar while pulling the bit.if you are refering to locking into socket then the socket might be too loose.or check if the ball on the adapter head is there.

      A:  Lock in

A:  Should lock in if you're using an impact driver, but mind you it needs an extension for it to lock in as the shank is a bit short. If you're using a standard chuck drill, just extend the jaws until it clamps on the end of the bit.

A:  It just snaps in place. Is a sturdy grab though.

A:  It doesn't come with a manufacturer warranty. I have this 3pc set, it's performed quite well over past 2+ years, using it with my smaller 4v & 8v screw guns to my 18v impact & pneumatic impacts & ratchet. It's a great accessory tool set to have in your tool box. Take some of the negative reviews with a grain of salt, use this like any other extension with common sense & you'll get good use out of if...... but I also know not to try & break loose a 600 ft. lb. rusted bolt with it & expect it to be fine, then complain about it breaking on a website. An item like this is considered a consumable, it will break or give if put under too much load, which is to protect the tool, not because the extension is crap or faulty. Sorry read one too many negative reviews on this good product before answering your question, hope this helps.

Q:Are these magnetic? The lower end set (# 48-32-5023 )is listed as being magnetic, which is a big selling point for me, but these don't say either way.

A:  They have no magnets on them but it is highly recommended you use a magnetic bit holder for these adaptors.

A:  These are not magnetic. Have used all 3 many times in various impact drivers over past 18 months, still work fantastic, no breakage or issues with product.

A:  No, they have a spring ball detent to hold sockets on. Trust me, you don't want to magnetize your sockets. The magnet nut drivers, however, are the ones to have for driving small hex head fasteners.

Q:Do these lock directly into the collet or do they require an additional adapter to attach into?

                  Answer This Question

A:  They lock directly into to hex drive of the 1/4” impact driver. The ones that require an adapter are shorter and do not have the groove near the base.

A:  They lock directly into a 1/4" hex impact driver collet. Very handy, well made adapters. I keep them right with my socket sets for use where I don't have an air compressor handy or just don't want to mess with an air hose.

A:  Lock directly in any hex impact driver without needing an adapter. Would work in a regular drill as well although I've never used that application. Non-magnetic but great product nonetheless. I have used & applied pressure on these with several different hex impact drivers, no breakage.

A:  Not to my knowledge. Most socket sets include extenders that can reach up to 6". Suggest you use them along with the correct size Milwaukee Hex Shank Socket Adapter to get the reach you need.

A:  I've never seen one but regular 1/4 or 3/8" drive socket extensions work just fine and come in most any length you want. They're included with most socket sets anyway. Be aware that any extension absorbs the impact to some degree, some more than others.
