A: I'm not sure what the wood is, though it appears to be oak. It's not as heavy as I would expect oak to be. It matches my oak finished furniture of which all of the pieces are very heavy. My guess is that it is another kind of wood that is finished to look like oak. It is not priced like oak, either. That's what makes me believe it is not oak.

Q:I don't see how th screws attach and hold the 3 legs in? screws don't seem long enough to go through the pole

Answer This Question
A: Screws go through the bottom spindle, 2 per leg, screws are plenty long, tighten them with allen wrench which is included
by|May 5, 2023
A: There are holes opposite of where the legs go and the screws go through the holes and into the legs.
by|Nov 11, 2020
A: Use the large hole to drop in the screw, it goes to the opposite side and the tool provided works perfect
by|Oct 30, 2018
A: You must slide the screws down the hole and use the allen wrench included in your packaging to screw each screw in. If you are unfamiliar with an allen wrench, I suggest you google it so you see it is the "L" shaped metal piece that should have been in the same smaller plastic wrap with the screws. It is really by feel that you know you are screwing the screw into the adjoining piece. Keep at it and it will work!
by|May 5, 2023
A: The holes for the screws are sunken into the base so that the screw heads are hidden inside the pole. There are 2 screws for each leg.

A: It is stable enough, we have it on carpet with 1/2 pad.
by|May 4, 2023
A: Well just like with any coat rack if you put something heavy on one side it will eventually tip over. You can't fight the laws of physics. Just balance it out with another heavy coat.
by|May 4, 2023

A: Yes, as long as you keep it in balance. For example, if you have 4 heavy coats on one side and nothing on the other, it will probably tip over. But if you spread those 4 heavy coats around the whole rack, it'll easily hold the weight

Q:I need a replacement part (the whole bottom/leg pieces). Am I able to get them?
by|May 12, 2016

Answer This Question
A: I would assume that it comes all together as it has many small parts and pieces. So replacement parts would be difficult to acquire.
