A:  A 12 inch round pot fit perfectly into mine.

A:  The planting area inside this planter is 11.75in x 11.75in but tapers slightly towards the bottom.

A:  Hi there! The reservoir will fill up by simply watering your plants as normal. Any water that the potting mix cannot hold will flow through the holes in the planting tray and fill up the reservoir below. You will know that reservoir is completely full when you see water coming out of the drainage hole on the side of the planter (to be drilled as outlined in our instructions).

A:  The water will just fall through the planter if properly built while first filling it.

A:  Sand lightly all surfaces, apply primer paint, and then paint with final color.

A:  Hi there! We do not recommend painting our products. Our products are manufactured from polyethylene, which is an oil based plastic. We have found that paint typically does not adhere to it very well and tends to peel and flake off over time. That being said, there is a paint on the market that is called “Fusion for Plastic” made by Krylon, which some of our customers have used with success. Please be advised that painted products cannot be returned and that painting the product will also void the 15 year warranty that we are able to offer on any fading or discoloration of the product.

A:  Yes. I bought black because I couldn't find white anywhere on line. The white were over $100.00 each, these were $69.99, and I painted them white. It takes 2 cans per pot and I couldn't be happier.
