Brantford Towel Bar in Chrome comes with mounting hardware for a drywall installation; however it can be mounted on a on a wooden door with appropriate mounting hardware which would have to be purchased separately. A:  Not sure. Mine is on wall. Worried that if door is hollow it will not be strong enough

A:  No reason this could not be mounted to the door. Mounting process will depend on whether the door is hollow, solid, or full wood.

A:  Yes. If the door is solid this will work fine. If the door is hollow, you'll need hollow door anchors.

A:  We wanted a custom size also that they did not stock, so we bought a longer one and cut the bar down to size before installing. The end caps cover any signs that you cut the bar as long as you make a clean cut.

A:  I don't know that they come that long. Ours is 24", in the kids/guest bath and I like it very much. This was the size recommended by the remodeling co.

A:  The space from the wall to the inside edge of the bar itself is 2 3/8". The end bracket sticks out 3" from the wall.

A:  The towel bar bar portion is 2 + 3/16 inches from the wall to the inside. The end caps extend a little less than 3 inches. The bar is round with a diameter of 5/8 inches.

A:  There is a set screw on the bottom of the bracket. Use the correct size allen wrench

Towel Bar in Brushed Nickel can be secured at the wall by tightening the set screws on the underside of the decorative mounting posts. If the fixture is still not tight, you can loosen the screw and remove the decorative mounting post. There are anchors with screws attaching them to the wall, tighten the anchor screws and reinstall the mounting post with the included toggle anchors If you have additional questions, please feel free to call us at 800-289-6636. A:  There are tiny screws in the bottom of each bracket. These hold the decorative bracket to the portion that is actually connected to the wall. Have you looked at the Moen website? they had instructions when I last checked maybe less than a year ago.

A:  Use a tiny Allen wrench to tighten the screws

Areas of concern would include sharp edges, possibly crushing the bar and chipping the finish could occur with the cutting of the bar. Depending on the type of door, it will require the use of different mounting hardware and you may want to consult an installation professional for guidance.
