Moen does manufacture the Moen DN9830SN (Satin Nickel), 30” bar only that is compatible with the Moen Brantford 24 in. Towel Bar in Brushed Nickel mounting post. A:  Yes - see no reason why the bar cannot be shortened since the bar just fits in the holes on the bracket - use a fine tooth saw blade.

A:  Yes, it can be trimmed. I used a hack saw and a file to smooth the rough edge.

A:  Yes, you could cut the bar

We can suggest using a hack saw with fine teeth. Areas of concern would include sharp edges, possibly crushing the bar and chipping the finish.
