A:  This valve, although made of PVC, is not NSF certified for use in potable water systems. We would recommend item 203581023 or 203581041 for a threaded end solution for a PVC ball valve for drinking water applications. Those two item numbers are NSF certified for use in potable systems.

A:  Mine came with both slip fit and threaded fit.

A:  It comes with both glue and FPT fittings.

A:  Note "PVC FPT" indicates this one is threaded. But, it is also available in smooth. Check the description. It may also come with the smooth end in the package. If memory serves me, it does.

A:  Was the adapter FPT threads? If you bought this SKU it has FPT threads. Do not over tighten, it will leak if you do. I hand tighten plus about 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Sometimes you can correct the problem by removing the union and allow the rubber seal to get back to its original shape, usually about one hour if the valve hasn't been installed too long.. Than reinstall.

A:  Pipe threads and hose threads are different. You can buy an adapter that will allow connection between this valve and a hose. This valve comes with both slip and threaded unions.

A:  You would need to add a male FTP to hose connector adapter to provide the hose connection. The valve has a FPT inlet fitting OR a solvent weld inlet fitting
