A: Yes, InvisaTread is intended for use on ceramic and porcelain tile. Is your "glossy" tile glazed or polished? Note: SOME (not all) polished porcelain tiles may experience a slight decrease in reflectivity after treatment. This decrease ( up to 10%-20%) is usually uniform and consistent and only noticeable in a side by side comparison with an untreated tile. Again, this is not a factor for all polished porcelain, just some. ... PLEASE TEST A SMALL HIDDEN AREA OR EXTRA TILE to determine efficacy on your particular surface and to determine optimal dwell time. Glazed surfaces are normally not a problem but may require a longer dwell time and sometimes even a second application. Start with 6 minutes and work up until desired traction. If after 20 minutes the desired traction is not felt, rinse dry and repeat.

Answer This Question
A: Dear Valued HomeDepot Customer,
We reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response.
"No, InvisaTread does not work on linoleum. InvisaTread is not a coating and only work on mineral based surfaces such as tile, stone and concrete, etc.
We do have a product called Traction Cote which is a universal, clear coating with aggregate. When applied to a surface it has the appearance of clear 100 grit sandpaper, clear but visible texture. TractionCote will be available at HomeDepot.com by Jan 1 2015."
