A:  Bona wood floor cleaner seems to be fine.

A:  We have used both regular water and have used Bruce Wood Floor Cleaner without any problems. When we have used regular water it is on an extremely wring out terry cloth type mop. Do not put excessive amounts of moisture onto the floor. I think they recommend distilled water so you don’t get any mineral buildup like white streaks if you have very hard water. We love our floors. Been almost a year since we put them in and they look great and are holdin up extremely well.

A:  Yes, although distilled water is better, but ordinary water is fine. You have to be careful using certain cleaners as they can leave a build-up on the floor that will dull the finish.

          Answer This Question

A:  No. Due to the fact that it is not nailed into place but is free floating. The solid bamboo flooring that is nailed into place might work for a wall application.

A:  I would not try this as a wallcovering, but stay with it as a floor covering. It would look nice on a den, but the wall would have to be smooth without any wavy -ness, and then it would need be glued tight. Some might try but I would not.

A:  I am not certain. I used this as regular flooring. We did not glue it down nor nail it.

A:  I assume you are asking about any odors from the product. That was never been an issue in the three months it has been down. I installed about 500 sf, and so far, no problems.

Q:Can this be laid over a glued down indoor outdoor carpet?

                    Answer This Question

A:  Howdy Red, Installation over existing floor requires the installer to consider potential issues related to moisture damage, adhesive failure and fastener failure. Unacceptable floor coverings include: carpet, needle punch felt, edge glued linoleum and other “moisture absorbing flooring.” It would be best to remove the outdoor carpet. A:  No. Carpet will not provide a solid base, nor will it provide the necessary vapor barrier. Even outdoor carpet absorbs some moisture, which is not recommended under any wood floor.
