A: My did not come with motion sensor. I also did not see that as an option. So I am doubtful that this fixture has a motion sensor as an option.

A: You should just buy a bulb with a motion sensor. That is what I have in my sconce and they work well.

A: You should swap the Motion Sensor version for the standard lantern sconce, then you can just remove the on/off switch, and wire directly. The light will stay on all the time. You probably know, but you might be changing bulbs every 6-months. I also recommend WHITE blubs, they are clear and look great.

A: Hello, Manual Override Mode (auto rest at dawn) During night, by switching off the wall switch for 2 seconds and then on again, the light will be turned on to dawn. To return to Auto Mode, simply switch the power off and switch on again in the same manner. This fixture also comes without motion sensor. THX

Q:I want to install this in my rear patio. I want to be able to turn on the light when I am sitting outside so that it does not go off if it does not detect movement. Since it is hard wired, can I just flip on the switch so it does not shut off?

A: Yes, if you turn off and on the switch, the sensor mode will be disabled and the light assembly will stay on until dawn.

A: This has a motion sensor. From what I believe it cannot be switched on any other way except by motion triggering it.

A: No, it works on a timer, there are a few options for timer i.e. 5 min, 10 min, etc. If it goes off due to no movement, you will need to wave your arm or otherwise move to make it turn back on.
This light also has a non-motion sensor version, you could purchase that.. or hey, run a wire and install two lights, one motion, and controlled by a switch.

Q:I used the 2-second switch flip function to disable the motion sensor and have the light on during the night and turn off at dawn. All great except the function seemingly reverts back to motion sensing for the next night and needs to be done all over again. My wife would like the light to be on when she comes home in the evening. Is there a way to disable the motion sensor continuously?

Answer This Question
A: Hello, Here are the instructions per the manual.
1. MOTION SENSOR FUNCTION-The motion sensor activates at dusk and automatically turns the light on when it detects a moving heat source such as people and vehicles are within its coverage area. The motion sensor will remain active throughout the night and deactivate at dawn.(Note: When power is first applied, the light will come on for about 20 sec. to allow the electrical current to stabilize. Once stable the software in the Motion Sensor’s Test Mode and Auto Mode
functions can be carried. The sensor has 2 knobs one is to adjust the sensitivity and the second is a shut off delay timer. (See fig.1) The motion sensor should be turned as Fig.2 to adjust the knobs location from the back to the side for accessibility when needed to adjust the settings.)
2. Manual Override Mode (auto rest at dawn) During night, by switching off the wall switch for 2 seconds and then on again, the light will be turned on to dawn. To return to Auto Mode, simply switch the power off and switch on again in the same manner.
This should help you set the fixture to the way you want the light to work. THX
