Wiring should enter the back wall at least 18" above the bottom of the hood and within 5" of the left side of the centerline. A:  The chimney is 13 1/4'' in height and the bottom is 5 7/8'' for a total height of 19 1/8''.

A:  Hello, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. This models required minimum height is 24" and the maximum is 36" above the cooking surface. The hood installation height above the cooking surface depends upon ceiling height and duct cover limitations. The telescopic duct cover conceals the ductwork running from the top of the hood to the ceiling. Refer to page 12 in your installation instructions.

A:  The flue duct is two piece and will expand as is to reach a 9 foot ceiling.

A:  We have the same model Range Hood and ours is also extremely loud even on its lowest fan setting. We are considering replacing our entire range hood with something quieter
