A: Hi Pl1979- Thanks for choosing our GE Profile Series! The junction box is located on the top left side of the hood. Wiring should enter the back wall at least 18" above the bottom of the hood and within 5" of the left side of the centerline. Q:What is the total min. height, including the chimney for ducted. Please do not restate the ceiling heights. I am looking for the actual product dimensions.

Q:The ceiling of my kitchen is 12.5 ft. Is the duct cover of this hood, long enough for 12.5 ft ceiling? Does GE sell an extension kit for this model? thank you

A: Hi MMF- The supplied duct cover fits 7' 11" to 10' 2" ceiling heights or 10' 6" in recirculation mode. An extension kit is not offered for this model. Thanks for considering GE! SUEatGEA

A: Hello, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. This models required minimum height is 24" and the maximum is 36" above the cooking surface. The hood installation height above the cooking surface depends upon ceiling height and duct cover limitations. The telescopic duct cover conceals the ductwork running from the top of the hood to the ceiling. Refer to page 12 in your installation instructions.
