Answer This Question

A:  Hi momof2- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for considering our Profile Series Wall Oven! The stainless steel finish is not fingerprint resistant. You can easily clean/maintain the stainless steel finish with CitruShine Stainless Steel Wipes (WX10X10007) or CeramaBryte Stainless Steel Appliance Cleaner (PM10X311). Also, check out our GE PROFILE™ SERIES 30" BUILT-IN DOUBLE WALL OVEN WITH CONVECTION PT7550EHES in Slate. Rich and elegant, the stone-inspired Slate finish blends impeccably with today's materials and colors. The dark matte appearance also naturally hides fingerprints, smudges and dirt, so it's delightfully easy to maintain. Thanks for checking with us!

Q:How long does it takes to preheat this oven to 350 degrees F from room temperature ?
            by|Mar 1, 2016
            1 Answer
            Answer This Question

A:  Hi GLXYZ- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your purchase! The oven preheats in approximately 15-20 minutes. Audible Preheat signals when the temperature is hot enough to add food. Preheat will signal at about 5-7 minutes. The oven is not at the set temperature; however, the oven is hot enough to add most items that require a pre-heated oven. Factors that will affect the preheat time are: selected temperature (every 25 degree increment above 350 set temperature will add approximately 45-60 seconds to preheat time), starting temperature of the oven, room temperature, number of racks in the oven (each additional rack will add approximately 30 seconds to preheat time), 208 volt installation will increase pre-heat time by 25%. Thanks for checking with us!

A:  Hi Bleu-this is Sue from GE. We are excited to hear of your interest! This model features True European Convection with Direct Air (both ovens). Bakes evenly as warm air blows from the top in and around bakeware. With multi-rack convection a damper system allows air to still flow from the back wall when baking on multiple racks at the same time. The broil, bake, and convection elements are utilized. In Broil, only the top burner is utilized. Traditional Broil Hi mode uses intense heat from the upper element to sear foods. Traditional Broil Lo mode uses less intense heat from the upper element to cook food thoroughly while also producing surface browning. Convection Broil Hi-Lo with Direct Air uses the upper element along with air movement directly down from the top of the oven. Convection Broil Crisp with Direct Air mode is intended as a finishing mode at the end of a cooking cycle to add surface browning to a dish such as a casserole or a roast. Thanks for checking with us!

A:  Hello Lispetunia - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to replacing your double wall oven. You certainly can replace your 27" double wall oven with a new 30" double wall oven; however, your cabinet cutout will have to be larger. An older 27" double wall oven required the following cutout dimensions: 49-11/16" High min. - 50 1/8" High max. x 25" Wide min. x 23-5/8" Deep min. This PT9550SFSS beautiful 30" double convection wall oven requires a cabinet cutout of 51-13/16" High x 28-1/2" Wide x 23-1/2" Deep. I hope this is helpful! Thanks for checking with us!
