A: Hi cleanoven- Rest assured you should not expect issues with the self-clean feature. When GE introduced its model P7 self-cleaning electric oven in 1963, the drudgery of cleaning a dirty oven was eliminated. It continues to be a very popular feature on our ranges and wall ovens. Most consumers self-clean their ranges two or three times a year which is adequate to remove cooking soils and spills that accumulate in typical usage. Our ranges are designed to operate through self-clean cycles reliably. Also, this model offers Self-clean with Steam Clean option (both ovens) so you can clean your ovens the way you want. Avoid the time and door locking required for conventional self-clean ovens. Steam Clean allows for quick cleaning of minor food spills at temperatures lower than the standard self-clean feature. Simply pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of a cool oven. Close the door and select Steam Clean. The cycle lasts about 30 minutes, and loosens and softens the grime in the oven. Once the cycle is complete, wipe out the moisture and food soils with a soft cloth. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/2EMLPJKNkkE?rel=0 - Thanks for considering GE. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA

A: Hi ShaunW- PT9550SFSS is a double convection wall oven. It does not include microwave technology. It features TRUE EUROPEAN CONVECTION WITH DIRECT AIR (BOTH OVENS)- Bakes evenly as warm air blows from the top in and around bakeware. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/YiqAqW6b2HE?rel=0 - We also offer GE Profile™ Series 30 in. Combination Double Wall Oven with Convection and Advantium® Technology PT9800SHSS and GE Profile™ Series 30" Built-In Combination Convection Microwave/Convection Wall Oven PT7800SHSS. Both models feature microwave cooking technology in the upper oven. Advantium technology harnesses the power of light. The outside of the food is cooked like a conventional oven, with radiant heat produced by halogen bulbs above and below the food. This halogen-produced heat receives a boost of microwave energy. The result? Foods brown and cook evenly and fast, while retaining their natural moisture. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/OEwQC2ajOfw?&rel=0 - Keep in touch! SUEatGEA

A: Hi Julie- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your consideration! A broiler pan is not included. Accessories can be purchased online at GEAppliancesparts.com (Large Broil Pan: WB48X10056, X-Large Broiler Pan: WB48X10057). Thanks for checking with us!
A: Hello Sue, I am happy to help. You will have a fan in the oven to cool the electronics. The fan or blower could come on during any operation. The oven-cooling fan for the electronic controls is controlled by a thermostat. The noise level for the PT9550 model is <46 dBa during normal cooking modes. Noise level is primarily driven by the cooling fan, not the convection fan. The convection fan will typically operate during all convection cooking modes and will shut off when the door is opened. During cooking modes it will run to a specified on/off cycle, dependent upon the cooking mode being selected. The cooling fan may run throughout the entire bake cycle and continue even when the oven is off. This is considered normal operation. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.
A: Hello mike - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. New 30" double wall ovens are shipped with pedestal rail strips (may also be called risers). This allows for more flexibility when replacing an existing 30" double wall oven with a new GE model. They should be used when replacing an existing GE double wall oven. They should be discarded when installing in a new cabinet/cutout or when replacing a competitor's double oven with a shorter cutout height. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A: Yes, the pedestal rails must be installed for proper installation.
How can we help?
