Federal law requires that any adjustment or repair of a microwave door be followed up by a leak test to make sure of proper fit, operation, and alignment. This must be done by a qualified technician. The approximate dimensions of model HDM1853GL1 are (HxWxD) 16 in x 29 7/8 in x 15 1/4 in. Our 30" Spacemaker over-the-range microwaves are all designed to be installed in the same standard upper cabinet space (30" min width, 12" min.-13" max. depth) so you can choose any current model as a replacement. To Deactivate the Power Saver (Energy Saver) feature, press the Power Saver button on the unit, and the unit will turn on. The display will read "On". For safety reasons, GE offers no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to: *Safety requirements due to high voltage (capacitor holds a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged); *Complexity of electronic circuitry; and *Special equipment needed to make diagnosis.
