    A:  There is a power button located inside of the solar top of the unit.

      A:  It is solar. It comes on when it gets dark and shuts off at daylight. During winter months if you don't get a lot of sun during the daytime you will have a much dimmer light. It depends on tbe sun for it's s source of energy and light. You can't manually turn it on or off. It has worked well for us as we live in Colorado and we have sunshine 90% of the time.

        Q:The callout shows a 3" OD for the post-mounted option. Should the callout show 3" ID? What windspeed in MPH will the device withstand? Does the device have a NEMA specification? What is the trade specification for the replaceable battery? What is the run time in hours for the device fully charged (dusk to dawn is meaningless).

        A:  Greetings JMH, The GS-94B-FPW doesn't have any NEMA specification. Battery replacement for this unit is about 1 1/2 to 2 years. This unit require direct sun light for about 6-8 hours per day to give this unit lasting power for dusk to dawn. Hope this information has been helpful?

          Q:I would like to use the pier mount to install this lamp on top of a column. The column is about 5 inches in diameter. The pier mount that comes with this lamp is 6.5 inches wide. Would it be possible for Gama Sonic to provide a compatible pier mount that is equal or less than 5 inches wide, so that I can screw the assembly on top the column? Would the pier mount that comes with model #GS-114B-FPW-BLK work?

            Q:I need to screw the lamp onto a horizontal surface that is too small for the base that the lamp comes with. Can Gama Sonic provide a smaller base that would work with this lamp, about 3 to 4 inches in diameter?

            A:  Greetings Heather, the GS-94B-FPW comes with three different mounts. The fitter mount has a three inch base that allows you to fit it on a pole. Then you have a pier mount that allows you to place this on top of a column. Last of the is the wall mount that allows you place this unit on most flat wall surfaces.                   A:  Barely none. You take off the top cover with a flat head screwdriver, screw in the light bulb, fasten the top back down turn it on (the plastic is covering the switch, be sure to turn it "on", it's kind of squishy). Works right out of the box....yes, I am a lady 70+ and had no problems with it. The unit even has directions on how to put it on a pole (you drill holes in the pole where the lamp fasteners are) And the fasteners fit!!! YAY!
