A: This would leave you with a 3 1/2" plinth block so it may make the pilasters look a bit off. You could go with a PIL8x90 which is adjustable or a PIL7x102 which is also adjustable but needs to be ordered through an HD store.

Q:Why does my order get auto-updated to a qty. of 2, when the description of this lists this item as being sold by the PAIR (i.e. 2)? If they are sold by the pair, why would I need two sets of two?

A: If I believe correctly, it is because that is the minimal amount it allows to be ordered in order for an order to be placed. I had an extra pair but am going to make use of it on my back door.

A: This can be applied to vinyl siding, you can either route out a J channel in the back for it to fit snug or you can also attach flat trim against the siding and install the pilasters on top of that.
