Q:the track on my door is 2 inches wide will this item fit it shows 2 3/4 inches wide

A: yes, it is 2 3/4 but when you shape it into the shape it will correct.

A: If the aluminum mounting track on the bottom edge of your garage door is 2 inches wide (between the centers of the two channels or slots)... that sounds like a rather thick garage door in comparison with most of them these days. You may want to take a look at this door bottom seal because it is 3-1/2 inches wide, but is otherwise very similar (except it's 20 feet long instead of 18 ft); its' available as an Internet online order from Home Depot ProSeal Model # 55020 Internet # 202205595

A: You typically will want enough material to create a bubble. This way when the door closes it will press down the bubble and fill any gaps. 3/4 of an inch is not enough to create that bubble but I want to make sure you are measuring between the grooves and not the entire trim piece. If you are then you should look for another item.

A: depends on the shape of your bottom door rail, if it is T shaped it will fit, if it is triangle shape it will not, or any other than T, there are many other shapes depending on the door manufacterer, if your rail is not a T then you might have to go on the internet to find the company that makes them for your door, try north shore garage door
