      Answer This Question

      A:  It weighs 104 lbs.

      by|Aug 23, 2019

A:  I can't accurately say. I bought both the small one and the larger one. They were heavy, mostly because of the weight of pressboard. I brought them upstairs myself. I would guess the small one was about 50lbs, the larger one maybe 65lbs. Just a guess.

        by|Mar 18, 2020

A:  Roughly around 60lbs. The particle board top is the heaviest part.

          by|Feb 25, 2020

A:  This workbench weighs 70lbs and can support up to 1200lbs.

            by|Aug 22, 2019

A:  I'm not sure of the exact weight, but it's not hard to carry with one person at each end. I could move it easily enough by myself, but it's long enough to be a bit awkward for one person.

              Answer This Question

A:  I’m sure u can. I used mine for top of counter above my front loading washer and dryer. U season it periodically with I believe lindseed oil.

              by|Aug 5, 2019

A:  I believe that this wood surface is more suitable as a work bench as intended. The surface is uneven creating a difficult surface to clean. A lot would depend on your standard of acceptance of a smooth, continuous, level surface for kitchen food preparation. Some people like funky....not me.

                by|Aug 5, 2019

A:  That's what I used it for. Gave it a dark stain and a coat of polyurethane because our sink is in the island. It's holding up well.

A:  Yes, this can be safely cut down to 60" length as long as you use a finishing saw blade, one rated for cutting hardwood, and ideally, a table saw.

A:  the top is fasten with wood screws and you need to pre drill the holes. I only used 4 two at each end, can add more to the sides if I need them.

                                        by|Jun 18, 2019

A:  Wood screws attached the metal frame to the top, I chose to pre drill my holes to make it easier. I use mine for a router table, I drilled the holes and have the router table bolted to the work bench. It's a solid table, holds up to the crazy vibration of the router table.

A:  The top is screwed on from the bottom supports to the table top. There are holes pre-drilled in the metal frame to attach via screws (they were provided) .

A:  Top is attached to frame by a series of screws through holes punched in the frame, completely around periphery and from under side. Note top (48inx24in) and frame (43in x 22in) so front row of screws is in about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inches from front edge if top is accurately placed on frame with equal overhang, 1 inch front and back and 2-1/2 at each end.

A:  I used this workbench top as a countertop in my garage and tried to cut an opening for a utility sink. It was very difficult to cut the hole for the sink - I ended up with a tiny split, but since it was the garage it did not matter to me - in my laundry room my wife would have objected to the split - so I would be very cautious when cutting the hole.

A:  This work top bench is coated with paraffin and mineral oil. Not very suitable for contact with laundry. This top is very difficult to cut due to burning and smoking with even with a sharp carbide blade. The top I purchased needed a lot of sandinding to get an even smooth surface.
