A: Our sealers are specially formulated for concrete and are not recommended for natural stone. They will have bonding issues which will cause the sealer to haze up and flake off.

A: The surface should be allowed to completely dry and free of moisture before applying the sealer.

A: I've used this product twice and I believe the instructions say to apply over dry river rock. I remember using a similar product some years ago and the instructions clearly said it would let milky looking areas if applied over wet river rock. If you use this product, which I believe is the best for river rock, and it rains afterward, probably not going to harm it, as when dry, water really beads well.

Answer This Question
A: The Chattahoochie is an oil-based sealer and the sprayer would need to be a solvent-resistant sprayer. An example of the sprayer would be a Chapin Xtreme or equivalent sprayer.

A: Did not used a pump sprayer - applied the Acrylic Chattahoochee Sealer with a roller. .

Q:Can you use this with cement pavers and color concrete and does it leave a high gloss finish?

Answer This Question
A: Yes. I used it on my pavers with multi-colors, they look great colors pop. used the 18"roller and covered 1500sq ft. in an hour.

A: The Chattahoochee Sealer is made for epoxy set stone and would not be a good sealer for pavers. We make a sealer specifically for pavers, our Eagle Paver Sealer. It will give the pavers a durable high-gloss wet-look finish.

Q:is this good to use on travertine around a pool?
by|Feb 9, 2019

Answer This Question
A: We do not recommend the Chattahoochie Sealer on natural stone. Our Eagle Natural Seal would work on the travertine as a water repellent but it does not add a decorative appearance.

Q:Can this product be used on pool decks where you water to pass through it when it rains into the drain system?

Answer This Question
A: The product is a sealer for Chattahoochee stone, which is a very fine almost tiny stone, less than a quarter of an inch in diameter.
The stones, by the 25 lb bag, are mixed with expoy adhesive and applied over fresh concrete with towels only about 3/8th inch thick.
It was very popular in Florida in the 1980's but nowadays no one installs it. This sealer is for maintaining the expoy and does in fact seal the stone surface so that water does not penetrate but will pool and run off.
