A:  I see no reason why it could not provided, of course, that you ensure the same slope toward the drain and have an otherwise level floor and plumb walls. There is a door bottom sweep with a drip rail provided that you attach, but it does not require much clearance..

A:  DreamLine does recommend that the base is two inches wider than the base. For this shower door, a 60'' wide base should work. DreamLine SlimLine single threshold bases are available in 60'' widths, however you would have to measure the depth of your framing to determine if you would need our 30''x 60'', 32''x 60'', 34''x 60'', or 36''x 60'' base. A:  For the Elegance, the shelves are required to be installed for support of the stationary panel. You can purchase the Elegance LS 58-1/2'' to 60-1/2'' model number SHDR-4330300-01. A:  Yes, but the shelves are small and look nice so you might want to go ahead and attach them. I didn't notice that they were included with the door when I ordered but I like them.

A:  All DreamLine shower/tub doors and enclosures require smooth, solid finished walls, true 90° angles where the wall meets the threshold, and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure. If the walls of your fiberglass enclosure have any give or flex to them when you push on the wall, most likely there is a pocket of dead space behind the wall and the wall is not solid. Please make sure that your shower/tub meets these requirements for installation before making your choice. However, when measuring your opening, be sure to measure the width of the top of the opening and the width at the bottom of your opening. Most walls are not plumb so you will want to make sure that both measurements are within the given width range for the door.
