Q:What size drill bit do i need to drill holes into the tile?

Answer This Question
A: In my case I started with 1/16" as instructions say. I needed to go up 1/16, to 1/8 to make screws easier. Others on u tube have recommended this also. Whenever I drill tile ,- especially newer much more hardened tiles i always start small and enlarge if needed so as not to force crack tile.

A: For installation, the guideline in the installation manual for drilling the correct size hole reads as follows, "If a stud is present behind the wall, drill a hole using a Ø3/16” drill bit up to the stud, drill an Ø1/8“ pilot hole into the stud and do not use wall anchors. If no stud is present, drill the hole using a Ø5/16” drill bit and insert Wall Anchors..." Q:Does both doors slide?

Answer This Question
A: No, I purchased a door that opens on the left. At first I thought I would need to use both sides but honestly we don't even notice.
by|Aug 27, 2020
A: No, both panels do not slide. Since shower door is frameless, part of the entire unit must be somehow anchored to a wall - ie; one panel is affixed to tub and wall to support the movable sliding panel.

A: Only one panel on the Infinity-Z moves. If you are interest in a shower door where both panels move, a bypass shower door, we would recommend the Encore as a good option. Q:Would this bath tub door work on a tub with a slight curb. The top of the tub is 4.5 inches wide for the mounting to sit on

Answer This Question
A: You will need a straight threshold that is at least 1" wide for installation of the Infinity-Z shower door. If you have a straight portion within the curve, it would work. We would recommend laying out a metal tape measure across the threshold to see if this will work for you. A: No. It has to be a standard tub with straight lines

Q:What is the weight and what are the dimensions of the package?
Also the top surface on the front of my tub narrows to only two inches toward the middle. I'd like to confirm that this will be sufficient to support the threshold and doors.

Answer This Question
A: The weight of the Infinity-Z is approximately 95lbs. The dimensions of the shipping package are approximately 62''x 33''x 6''. The Infinity-Z requires a 1'' minimum threshold width so 2'' would be enough of space. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866-282-8413. A: Yes - This sliding glass tub door has both a top and bottom track which rests on bathtub lip and then should be sealed to the bathtub to keep all water within the the bathtub/shower area.

Q:In the space where the door glass overlaps the stationary glass, is there an easy way to clean the facing surfaces? Or, when the door is fully opened, is that stationary glass uncovered for easy cleaning, although that looks to be not possible?

A: You can remove the splash protector and clean this area; however, there is little or no cleaning needed with the protector in place.
by|Feb 19, 2019
A: The moving panel is removable for easy cleaning. Most people do not remove the panel, however. You can remove the vinyl strips on the door and clean the space between the panels with a soft cloth or paper towels.
