Q:Do you have to hold the handle down to make the water flow, or do you push it downt to make it flow and lift it up to turn it off?

A:  You push it down to make the water flow. when you let go the water stops

    A:  To pour water continuously, to fill a large container or pitcher, pull the handle upward until it clicks in place it will hold. To fill a glass or cup, push the handle down and hold it down to continue pouring. When you stop holding down it will shut.

      A:  This faucet is a single inlet faucet designed for cold water. It will not work using an instant hot tank. It can work using house style hot water, but is unable to meter it. i.e. No hot water adjustment.
