A:  Not the right model for a window; the window unit has the controls on the ductwork. This one doesn't have ducting or controls. I use it with a separate thermostat for use in a greenhouse, where I furnish the duct.

A:  Hi, Chops. The 3000SD cooler does have a duct adapter flange attached to the cooler. You can mount the duct work directly to the front of the cooler. There are no obstacles in the way to prevent you from using 1/2" metal screws. Thanks! - Sydney, Essick Air Products

A:  You’ll definitely need some sort of custom connection. 1/2” sheet metal screws should be fine but you should check what’s on the other side first so you don’t hit framing. I prefer using stainless steel sheet metal screws to reduce corrosion issues. Don’t use aluminum or copper screws, you’ll get galvanic corrosion.

A:  Yes the Champion cooler comes with those accessories... two clamps for the motor, a power cord, an adjustable pulley and a belt which is 45 inches. I find the belt to be too short for my application, I always get a 46 inch belt for more cfm. I would also recommend a 1/2 hp motor over the 1/3 hp motor... Less heat, longer life, worth the extra cost.

A:  You just need the motor. The other items are in a bag on the floor of the cooler. Be advised that an electrician will be needed to hook up, as it is more complicated than most DIY folks can handle. You will need to furnish the thermostat. This item does not include the duct nor the control panel if you are mounting it in a window. That would be a different product. Don't forget to oil the bearings on the shaft.
