A: AGREE! 13-5/8" x 13-5/8"
A: Hello! The opening on the 3000 SD is 13-5/8" square. Thanks for your question. We appreciate your feedback! -Melissa, Champion Cooler
A: Hello, Rick! To remove the louver door, you will remove the two shipping screws at the top of the panel (louver). The shipping screws are the smaller ones fastened to the door. Once you've taken out the shipping screws, locate the louver handhold, use the panels handhold to push up, and then pull the door out of the cabinet. If you have any other questions or concerns about your cooler, please let us know by calling 1-800-643-8341, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 to 5:30 CST. Thanks! -Melissa, Champion Cooler
A: Just left and pull.
A: There are two screws on each panel that keep the panels on during shipping. However, there are also screws that hold on the trough at the top. Take off the shipping screws but leave the trough screws. Sometimes the panel is kind of stuck. To remove, try to raise it at the hand hold indentation. If that doesn't work, take a flat head screwdriver and gently pry up each corner. Don't pry in the middle of the panel because it's too weak there.
A: Don't remove the silver screws that hold the distribution trough. However, the gold-colored shipping screws must be removed. If stuck, take a flat head screwdriver in the corners of the panel, where its stronger than in the middle. Wiggle it a little to free it up. Once free on both sides, you can lift it from the hand-hold in the middle.
A: Yes through the wall.
A: Hello, Nel! You will need to contact a sheet metal shop to make a tunnel for the cooler. You may be able to find a register or air deflector at Home Depot to retro fit over the opening in the cabinet of the cooler body. Please make sure the attachment you have made is the same size opening as the cooler, which is 13-5/8 square. If you need further assistance with this, please email us at info@essickair.com. Thanks! -Melissa, Champion Cooler
A: It fits a duct in the roof for that purpose I don’t know if it will fit in other places i imagine that if you can make a duct or place so you can fit the cooler it will be ok but i think there are other coolers for your situation easier to install
A: I put it in the walll were the old one was.
A: You will need a sheet metal duct fabricated by a sheet metal shop to fit your specific dimensions and site conditions.
A: If by "cage" you mean "duct" the answer is no. This unit needs a thermostat to tell it when to come on and the size of the duct (which is not included) is 13-5/8" square. This might not be the model you need. Look at the one that comes with its own duct and has controls on the face of it. However, your window is probably just a tad too narrow. You might need to cut a hole in the wall instead.
A: No. You will need a mesh of some sort to keep kids' hands out of the squirrel cage blower. Very dangerous otherwise!
A: Hello, Nel! This cooler does not come with a register or grille. You will have to purchase one from your local hardware store. Thanks! -Melissa, Champion Cooler
A: No. You’ll have to add your own. It comes as the picture shows.
A: 13-5/8" square. You furnish duct. Yes, has knockouts.
A: Hello, Him! The duct opening is 13-1/4" inches square. There is an opening and a junction box for your wiring. Thanks! -Melissa, Champion Cooler
A: Home Depot should be able to get them for you. If they don't have the exact size, you can order either the next largest size (3 quantity) or the closest width of a 25' aspen pad roll and cut it down with scissors to fit.
A: Hello, Bill! You can purchase the pre-cut pads directly from us by calling 1-800-643-8341. The part number for each pad is 110091. You can also purchase our pads or generic pads at Home Depot. They may need to cut them to fit. Thanks! -Melissa, Champion Cooler
A: John, this is the same unit. If you need more information please contact us at 1-800-643-8341. Thank you, Tammie / Champion Cooler
A: First, I have absolutely no idea what the Essick Air Model #N30S might be. So obviously I cannot answer your first question. Even so I want to say that this swamp cooler is far better at cooling our home than is our air conditioner. BUT it introduces much humidity which could cause problems in wooden structures, floors, wooden furniture, pianos, especially those with large sounding boards. The humidity could quickly destroy a piano nearly as valuable as a home. Think twice about it. There are ways to prevent damage but one must be very diligent.
A: I'm not familiar w/ Essick Air Model # N30S. To compare, here's the specs on the Champion unit: W x L =28-1/8" x 28-1/8" Ht.: 33-7/16" Motor: 1/3 H.P. 7.2 Amps CFM @ 0.1" static pressure: 1,950
A: 3 quantity @ 22" wide x 27" high
A: The pad dimensions are 22" x 27 1/8". Thank you, Tammie
A: yes that is the same size that i used it on and it has worked great for us, i'm located in the southwest.
A: Thank you for your question. This unit will cool up to 1000 square feet, however, this is in perfect conditions. I would recommend going to the 4001 SD, which will cool up to 1400 square feet. If you would like more information about this or any other unit, please contact our customer service department, Monday - Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm CST, 800-643-8341. Thank you, Tina Wilson / Champion Cooler
A: I believe its ok for your mobile home it woked for me
A: Your location makes a lot of difference, but even if you are in Arizona, I think this unit is too small. If you are in Houston, it is too humid for evaporative cooling to be effective. The drier the climate, the better.
