A:  It is NOT a vent fan. I does not remove humid air. It will not clear your foggy mirrors. A couple people said it would, but even the manufacturer says it is not to be used in a room where humidity is an issue. It is for rooms with no shower and/or tub.

A:  This fan is a non-duct unit. It can move air and collect odors since it has a charcoal pellet. If you have humidity and foggy mirrors, you need a unit that exhausts to the outside. Thank you.

            Answer This Question

A:  Install in the room but not directly shower.

            by|May 5, 2023

A:  This is a non-ducted fan. It is designed to remove odors only. It will not remove steam. For steam/moisture removal, you would need a ducted exhaust fan.

A:  Not in Colorado however that differs from State to State - it is electric, call your local licensed electrician

A:  The Do-it-Yourself-er could install this, however, you should consult a professional for electrical connections and local codes since you have concerns. Call our Technical Support Department at 888-336-6151 with questions before you begin the project. Thank you.

A:  No, it will not. Since it is duct free, it does not exhaust steam or moisture. It is designed to move air and remove odors.

                  by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes enough for normal moisture. But not enough for a shower.

Q:Can i power this unit with a switch wire from power outlet? I want to install this in my bathroom at my rental place. However, there is no any place on ceilings or walls to install it. Is there any way I can fix/mount this on wall and power it with a switch? Or is there any product like that? Thanks

                      Answer This Question

A:  No. This is strictly a duct-free fan. The duct free fan/light model was discontinued some years ago.

A:  By adjunct you mean in series or on the same circuit the answer is yes. this is a small fractional horsepower motor and draws very little amps. the fan is quiet so running it when the lights are on should be no problem. that's why the installation is so easy you don't have to put in a separate circuit or switch.

A:  For the wiring piece, yes you can have a light on a parallel circuit, but replacing the cover with a cover having a light could be a challenge but is certainly possible.
