Q:How loud is the fan? How many scones? I need it loud enough to offer bathroom privacy.

A:  This fan is non-duct. Since it is not an exhausting fan, but rather a recirculating fan, HVI does not certify sone levels/sound levels for this fan.

                Q:Can the filters be refilled manually? For instance, my cats have a water fountain with activated carbon and rather than purchasing a new prefilled filter I pop the old one open, dump out the old carbon and clean it, dry and refill with much cheaper carbon made for aquariums (it's the same stuff.). The cat's won't use the fount with old carbon/dirty filter but they don't notice the difference between new prefilled or the ones I refill my self

                            A:  It’s a really good question! The 682 and the 682NT are the same product. The only difference is the Brand name. From time to time we will see this sort of pricing. WE are the manufacturer. Home Depot could be running a type of promo to match a the lowest price that they see when doing comparisons. But they are still the same model. Thank you.
