Q:can the shower ring be swapped 180degrees so the riser is on the ceiling attached end? my feed & drain is in the middle of the room.

A:  The shower head needs to be on the end that is attached to the wall. The end that is attached to the ceiling cannot be used for the shower head as the riser is in the way.

        A:  You can purchase any shower head you like, but you WILL NEED TO BUY AN ADAPTER/REDUCER, too. The shower PIPE, threaded male end where the showerhead screws onto is smaller than any shower head, female end. I bought the adapter at Home Depot.
