Questions and Answers for BLACK+DECKER 7.5 in. 12 Amp Corded Electric 2-in-1 Lawn Edger & Trencher

A:  This lawn edger and trencher is manufactured in China.

A:  This electric Black+Decker edger is well-designed and made. I have used them for more than 15 years. But they are made in China.

A:  A specific blade offered by Black and Decker is made for this edger. There are knock-off brands, and they usually specify what they can be used on. Amazon carries both B & B and knock-off brands. I don't think it is safe to use something that isn't specified for this B&B edge/trencher model, which is an excellent product and safe when used according to the instructions.

A:  Sorry I went through the instruction manual and it does not specify what size blade it comes with.

A:  I probably would not use an edger but rather a string weed whacker. The steel blade of the edger against the steel edging sounds like a bad combination all the way around.

A:  I use my edger to edge / trench around everything - concrete borders, steel edging and plastic edging. The trick is to keep the blade from riding up on the edging.

A:  There are 3 cutting depths 1 Inch 1-1/4 Inches and 1-1/2 inches

A:  It has three depths of 1”, 1.25”, and 1.5” with two adjustment settings, one for trenching and one for edging. The trenching adds about a half inch to the depths. Hope this helps out. I had this edger for many years. Great product.

A:  The LE750 should work for curved areas.

A:  When there is heavy overgrowth of grass over the paved surface it may drag on the guard. An initial cut may be required with the edger on the grass side. This will require lifting up the edge guide and may require reducing the depth of cut. Recommend 1" (25 mm) depth for edging. A:  This edger trencher is amazing! My old edger use to make my back hurt. This one no back pain at all. Very easy to use, light weight and great for first time edger/trimmer users. This edger/trencher has all my neighbors asking where I got it.

A:  We apologize for any confusion. That is not a model number. It is a date code of manufacture. The edger was made in the 41st week of 2020. A:  For landscaping with your LE750 you will want to: Pull edge guide lever sideways to unlock from the guard tab in direction of small arrow. Lift the lever up until the lower square notch in the lever lines up with the tab on the guard. In this position the edge guide is lifted up so the tool can easily cut along the edges of flower and shrubbery beds, and around trees in preparation for trenching or sod removal.

A:  I wouldn't. There are specific tools for what you want to do. You could do a perimeter perhaps.

A:  No. The LE750 is only for trenching and edging along sidewalks and driveways.

A:  Possibly.  If you put it on the trench setting (deepest setting), and cut into rectangles the width of your shovel, it may work for you.  Be careful to make sure you don't cut into any underground gas, water or electrical pipes.  No matter what you do, this will not be easy to complete.  Good Luck!

A:  I wouldn’t use it for that. You might want to look in to renting a tiller for a job such as yours.

A:  Black & Decker no longer sells Edge Hog product. This is an edger and trencher however. Edger function works very well

A:  The LE750-CA 11 AMP is for Canadian use and the LE750 12 AMP is for the US use.

A:  The 11 amp model is typically sold in Canada and the `12 amp model is typically sold in the USA
