A:  garnet may be too hard for aluminum. It will remove the paint but may do damage to the aluminum if your sand blaster has too much pressure. I would recommend professional soda or dry ice blasting.

      A:  The BlackBull Grit is 80 grit, which is what is recommended with the use of the various Black Bull products.

        A:  Depends upon the sand. 80 grit is the size of the particles. In most sand the particles vary in size.

                A:  No, while you might be able to pull this in through your detergent/cleaner intake hose line, possibly, it would destroy your pump internals. This for sandblasters, not pressure washers.

                    A:  This media is intended to be used with a sandblaster or abrasive blaster. I would not recommend using this with a power washer.

                          A:  If clearances are important then you are better off with glass beads. This works great for iron and aluminum housings but it is too abrasive where tolerances are important

                              A:  80 Grit sand/media is an extra fine sand/media. That is what is required to use in the blasting pots and cabinets. Thank you.

                                A:  As stated it is equivalent to 80grit sand paper. I would compare it to fine table salt.

                                    Q:I intend to "blast" outside, and I seek media which will do well remaining on the ground -- e.g., will integrate with the soil, as would sand. Thank you for any comment or suggestion (if I need to look at specific media).

                                    A:  I SUPPOSE BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL INTEGRATE WITH THE SOIL PROPERLY. I BLASTED OUTSIDE AND CAN'T SEE THE MEDIA NOW.
