A: Good Afternoon, Lois1593, Great Question! None of our soft seats come with a slow close feature at this point in time, I will definitely pass the idea along to our Sales and Marketing Groups! Kindest Regards, Bemis Customer Service
A: No... plastic.
A: Nope, this is plastic.
A: No. fairly solid plastic.
A: It is made of plastic
A: No, this is a plastic seat made to look like wood.
A: You probably need to tighten the bolts a lot more after you have the seat centered
A: you probably need to recheck the tightness of the mounting bolts
A: Mine did that at first and the simple fix was to tighten to retaining screws that hold the seat on the toilet.
A: tighten the nuts that were provided with it and follow the instructions.
A: Thanks for a suggestion countrygirl13. That was my first thought too but I think there must be a broken or missing part where the lid and seat connect. The bolts are firmly tightened but the seat wiggles side to side along the post where it connects to the lid.
A: Mike, I really don't know what the specific differences are, but the Just-Lift Slow Close toilet seat slowly closes with just a gentle push after using the toilet which makes it safer if there are children in the home and it also helps prevent the slamming of the lid and future chips to the seat. Hope this hellps answe your question.
A: No it should fit correctly no over hang. You may have gotten the wrong seat for your toilet.
A: Good Morning, C, We manufacture our toilet seats to fit most standard toilet bowls on the market. You may find the fit to vary by up to an eighth or quarter of an inch in some toilet seat styles. In addition, some of the toilet seats we manufacture do have a cover that comes down and covers the edges of the ring itself. There are many styles which have the cover in exact dimension of the ring. There are quite a few variations on display at your local Home Depot ~Bemis Manufacturing Company
A: There are two different sizes regular and oblong. Perhaps you got the wrong style.
A: Depending on the size of the bowl itself, the lid may be a bit longer which is not really a problem. My bowl is a tad bit smaller than the lid but you reallly cannot tell it unlesss you get down and examine it.
A: Not sure of the measurements but the box indicates that it fits most elongated toilets. My elongated toilet is about 3 years old and it fit just fine. The one in my basement is round and that one fit fine too. I'm pretty sure that the elongated and round toilets don't vary in size too much. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!
A: When choosing a toilet, they usually show measurements in height. Meaning from the floor to the top of the toilet seat. 16 1/2" is the most common height for toilets. They do come in shorter heights usually 14 1/2" and taller, 17 1/2" and 18 1/2". The seats themselves are usually round or elongated. Hope this helps.
A: Hi, for the 16 1/2 size you would choose the "round" version of this Bemis Just-Lift Toilet Seat. On the item page under the specs it lists it at 16.6 ". Also yes the "height" is the front to back measurement. The actual height (1+ inches) is noted under the "Depth" measurement on the specs chart. Hope this helps you and others.
A: this model is about 14 1/2 ". not sure, sorry
A: Hi, Patty, Thank you for taking the time to write with your inquiry. The elongated toilet seats are approximately 18 1/2 inches from the bolt hole center to the front of the seat. ROUND toilet seats measure approximately 16 1/2 inches from center of bolt hole to outer edge of seat. Elongated Model # 1584SLOWJ 000 Internet # 203790220 is avavailable in a round, or shorter, version: Model # 584SLOWJ 000, Internet # 203790229, Store SKU # 587529. I hope this has helped! ~Bemis Mfg. Company
A: I don't believe this particular model comes in grey, at least not that I've seen. However Bemis does make a BEMIS Slow Close STA-TITE Round Closed Front Toilet Seat in "Tender Grey", Model # 200SLOWT 052 that you might be interested in.
A: Hi Jack, Unfortunately, the new Just Lift seats are only available in white. If you're looking for an Ice Grey seat, these Bemis models are available: 500EC 062 (Bemis Brand) or 540EC 062 (Church Brand) 200SLOWT 062 The 500EC/540EC is a molded wood seat featuring the Easy Clean & Change hinge (twist the hinge caps to unlock the seat from the bowl to remove the seat for cleaning/changing). The 200SLOWT is our colored plastic seat that features: Whisper Close (slow close), Easy Clean & Change, and STA-TITE (a nut/bolt system to prevent seat from loosening/wobbling). I hope that helps! A: As of right now I only know it only comes in white.
A: It comes in a multitude of colors, perhaps two or three dozen. I'm not sure about an "ice grey", but I bet you could come close to what you need. One drawback of going with something other than their white... it costs more. You might add another 50 or 60% to the price for colors. But since they are plastic, the won't stain like the wooden and wooden composite ones. Home Depot lists various colors on their website. I would bet that you would have to order it online and have it shipped to store (I don't think they charge anything for shipping to the store... maybe not to your house either).
A: It doesn't look like this seat it currently available in Ice Grey as a stock item but you may be able to special order it. Check with your local store customer service and see. ice grey color number is 062. Hope that helps.
