The image is for product visual only - however you can install the door on a flat edge, providing its wide enough, of a shower pan. Please note Aston does not recommend using another brands' pre-fabricated fiberglass base with our models, as we can not guarantee their specs or design; and any improper installation may void warranty. However, if you are planning on using a contractor's custom base along with his professional installation of an Aston shower, we see no issue with such your plan. Thank you!
