Questions and Answers for Ames 57.5 in. Fiberglass Handle 16-Tine Double Play Bow Rake

A:  The tine spacing on the 16Tine double play bow rake is roughly 1”.

A:  same problem here (wooden dowel failed which joins fiberglass handle/metal rake internally) but didn't retain reciept so not sure if they will cover but will try

A:  This rake has a 15-year warranty by the manufacturer.

A:  Absolutely!

A:  There is a possibility.depending on the size of the gravel.

A:  I would think that normal size gravel would slip through tines due to their spacing

A:  It worked for moving rock out of a flower bed for me. If the lock is really embedded, you may need to loosen it with a shovel first.

A:  To aerate means to puncture holes in the soil. It would be extremely labor intensive but you could do it. You could not rake existing sod but could raise the rake up and down causing punctures in the soilbed. Once again very time consuming

A:  You can, but there are actual tools for aeration that would perform better.

A:  I suggest you call or visit the website for your local Home Depot. You can find that information online at homedepot.com. You can even order it online to pick up in the store to avoid any delivery cost.

A:  Not too heavy, not too light. Just right.

A:  Its slightly lighter than other rakes sold at Home Depot

A:  The specs on this say it weighs 3#. I would say from my experience that the weight is correct. It’s very easy to handle and I’m a little old lady. :)

A:  This is a welded bow rake.

A:  Welded. The tines move outward when pulled hard. Requiring a manual repair to straighten.

A:  Welded. Poorly welded. Mine broke right away.

A:  this is a very good Rake, no problems since I had it..

A:  The tines are all one piece (2 sides with different lengths) that is welded at each end to a frame piece that goes up into the handle.

A:  The tines are all forged but the connection on either side is welded

A:  Mine appears to be welded.

A:  Do you mean Forged or Cast? Not sure. The only part thats welded is where the set of tines meets the metal thats attatched to the handle.

A:  The rake is forged. It's a really solid rake.
