A: Hello, Amdro Ant Block is formulated to be appealing as a food source for ants. They will carry it back to their colony and feed it to other ants which will then also die. This will eliminate the colony, the source of the problem. Thank you
A: Hello, if directions on the back of the label are followed accordingly no harm should come to cats or dogs. Thank you.
A: It's granules. Don't know how it would hurt it. But the best thing to do is find the hole and pour it directly on it. I do that so no animal will walk in it.
A: This product is in granular form, not liquid. It works best when sprinkled on the ant hill, where ants will carry the granules inside the mound where it will kill the entire colony. I don’t know if this will be effective when sprinkled on a wood deck.
A: Hello, we do not recommend using this product on your deck. Thank you.
A: Hello, the active ingredient in Amdro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait is hydramethylnon, which has very low toxicity to people, animals and birds. When used according to the label we wouldn't expect any problems to your dogs.
A: Hello, this product is ant bait and not in liquid form. Applications can be made any time that ants are active. However, this product should not be applied to wet ground or grass, or if rain is expected within 24 hours, or when temperatures are below 50°F. Avoid leaving the bait exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. During hot weather, application is best performed in the early morning or early evening when temperatures are cooler and ants are active. Check treated colonies/mounds for ant activity 30-40 days after treatment. Repeat applications as needed
A: This is granules, that you either sprinkle around your house, or around an ant hole, depending on what the problem is. I don't want my dog or any wild animals or birds walking in it, so I pour it directly on the hole. The ants will clear it in no time. Next day, no ants. It doesn't take much. A huge mound would take more of course. It's the only thing I've found that really works.
A: Yeah, this stuff should only be used outdoors. It's a pretty strong poison that will nuke an ant colony, or your pets and children. Nuking pets and children is not recommended.
A: Hello, this product is for outdoor use only. Thank you.
A: Hello, when applied according to the directions Amdro Ant Block won’t hurt chickens. It is not approved for use in areas where chickens used for egg production are kept. Thank you.
A: Most likely since they peck around on the ground.
A: yes, do not apply where your chickens run, if the hill is in there run, securely put some hardware mesh around site and when mound is dead remove at least 2 inches of soil where Amdro was applied
A: I would say, yes. If you have children or animals, take extra precautions to make sure that they do not ingest the granules or any contact with water run-off.
A: I have used this for pharoah ants and fire ants. I'm not sure what a pavement ant is even after looking it up. This is a grease based bait so if the ants will eat something other than just sugar it will work great. Once I sprinkle it lightly around the perimeter of the house the ants and their nests disappear. Also my dog ignores it.
A: Hello, the Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Killer Bait is for outdoor use only. We recommend using AMDRO KILLS ANTS LIQUID ANT BAIT STATIONS for indoor use on pavement ants. Thank you.
A: Not sure what type of ants those are , but I've used it on whatever ants I see and they're dead as soon as the granules go into nest. I would just sprinkle the granules where the ants are so they can take them back to their nest and it should kill them all off regardless.
A: it worked on those ants immediately ants took the bait and havent seen them since
A: YES KILLS ALL ANTS DEAD
A: Kills any ant, they carry to queen and kills ant hill.put around trees to keep from going up and down tree.
A: It kills many types of ants. We use it on ants that come in the house. It is the best product I've found the ants carry it back to the nest and it kills the queen and the colony then dies.
A: This is for outside use - so even though you put it around the house if they get in you might have to use another product. For a backup in the home check out Home Defense.
A: Sprinkle it all around your house and if you can find the nest, sprinkle it there too. It’s a bait and becomes sticky so either the ants pick it up or it sticks to them… but either way it’ll kill the nest
A: Yes, they handle those ants for me
A: Hello, Amdro Ant Block is not labeled for use in vegetable gardens. We wouldn’t recommend treating the area before you plant. It would be okay to apply the granules around the vegetable garden after you have planted, just not in the garden area. Thank you.
A: It has to be sprinkled on the top of the ground. I recommend this product as I use it twice a year and I never have ants around my house or in my house.
A: You can. But why would you want to kill ants who are in the garden? I sprayed it around the house, it is very effective.
A: This should not be used around edible plants
A: yes
A: Hello, Please do not apply the Amdro Ant Block when temperatures are below 50 degrees at time of application. Application is best performed in the early morning or late evening when ants are active. Thank you.
