A:  This tape will work with oil based paints. One trick to get perfect lines is after applying the tape go over it first with the original color, let that dry and go over with the new color. If you have any further questions feel free to reach out at 1-800-494-3552 Mo-Fri 8am-4:30pm CT.

A:  To my experience, you can remove the tape as quickly as within 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the kind of paint you are using. i try not to let the tape sit too long as a rule.

A:  You can take it off right away. I did and had no issues. If you read the label it will tell you how long one can keep it on for. However, in my experiences, the longer you keep it on, the more of a chance that you will pull off the paint with it. Especially with latex paint. Hope this helps. Good luck!

A:  Remove tape when the paint is dry to the touch — typically one hour after application. If you are applying multiple coats of paint, don’t remove the tape until you have finished the last coat and it has had sufficient time to dry. Thanks for asking!

A:  The sooner the better. The longer you wait the paint dries on the tape and tears with the removal of the tape and bye bye lines.

A:  Hi William, Personally, I remove it right after the final coat of paint - while the paint is still wet. This is done so as to minimize pulling any paint off of the wall. Folks either swear by waiting until the paint is dry or pulling the tape while it's still wet. In any case, the rolls state to remove it within 60 days.

A:  I think this would work on trim, however, it is a bit lighter weight than some of the other tapes. You also may want a wider tape for your trim.

A:  This does not look like the correct application. Masking tape should never be used for long term tasks. Short term, it has low tack and will not destroy the finish.
