A:  Yes and yes. We wanted to use a plug on the left, so just ran cord across back. We needed a 14-gauge extension cord either way.

A:  We recommend using a standard wall outlet. We do not test this appliance using any special type of outlet. - GHP

A:  "COME-ON-MAN", Contact the supplier or manufacturer (look for your warranty information) and order the replacement remote.

A:  Try calling the company that manufactured the product. They may be able to help you.

A:  Try putting something (your log basket) in front of it. Some of mine shows but not too ugly.

A:  If you need to ask that question, "Hire an Electrician" to install an electrical outlet inside the firebox itself. But remember that you "No-longer" will be able to burn wood in there again untill the outlet is removed.

A:  The cord was actually too short to reach the plug. We corrected that with the addition of an another electrical cord

A:  UL requires a minimum of a 6ft power cord , so that should be the minimal length supplied with the electric fireplace.

A:  I cannot give you the exact measurement because it is all hooked up, but I know we had a problem with the length and it would have been advantageous to have had a longer cord than it comes with.

A:  You will need to have a plug installed in the back of a brick fireplace if you want to hide it. The cord itself is probably about 3 feet.

A:  Hi Julie, First off you will love this item. It is the most realistic log/flame on the market. When you do not turn the heater on and want to use it under tv or table top It does not get any hotter than a lamp. When you first do it I would hang around and make sure it is not too much heat for the t.v.. Hope this helps. Happy, Healthy Holidays.

A:  Its sturdy and heavy, and should not plug into an extension cord or the same wall outlet as your tv.
