A: I am not sure about the maximum distance but it has several spray selections and I'm able to hit my neighbor's house from across my driveway while watering my lawn if I'm not careful.

Q:I attached nozzle to my hose , turned on the water but it did not work even though I pushed the thumb trigger and changed the spray options. What am I doing wrong?

A: Thumb trigger? All I know is that you pull the handle on top back--towards you--and it turns it on. We've had three of these and used them for years. Spray is very tunable with pulling the big handle back.

Feature that stands out the most : The easy grip handle that shuts off water flow and glides back to turn water flow on. You can fit all your fingers inside grip. I like the weight and feel of the water cannon and the many sprayer options available. Very easy to turn to selection. The Jet option is really nice to hose off the carport and side of house. It's like having a mini pressure washer. I dislike that it does not have the "perfect" water flow selection for heavy flow but "gentle" spray for flowers. Time owned and used : 1 week It meets most of my expectations.

Yes, it's built heavier; yes, great handle design; yes, it's more expensive; yes, it's worth it. Multi-pattern nozzles often fail over a relatively short period of time, but this one is built like a tank. No more dribbles down my arm. Really does the job on the patios in this multi-family environment. Patterns are pretty standard and work well. Handle design makes it very comfortable to use, especially over a long period of time. Doesn't require constant thumb/hand pressure.

Great nozzle, well built I really like the rubber coating and the handle. Does not leak if you turn off water flow using the fire mans handle before you change the shape of the water with the dial. We have used this to wash the house, cars and the dog. Great Product. see picture.

This nozzle is professional grade

This nozzle is the real deal.With seven spray patterns you will be able to take care of 99% of your watering needs.The metal nozzle is completely wrapped in a rubberized coating to maintain easy grip and to protect the nozzle. My favorite option is the fireman's top handle, with this feature you can gain or limit the amount of water that comes out of the nozzle.If you are watering plants on the deck, just move the upper handle and you have a trickle of water that does not blow the dirt out of the pot.likewise set it on high pressure and you almost have the action of a pressure washer. It is worth the $20 for a very effective water tool!

Orbit Pro Series Water Cannon Spray Nozzle

The Orbit Pro Series Water Cannon Nozzle certainly lives up to its name. This spray nozzle is relatively large and has seven different spray patterns available. The body of the spray nozzle is relatively large and very beefy compared to standard size hose nozzles. It has a 5/8 in. fitting which is standard for most garden hoses. It has a metal body which is completely covered by a thick rubberized casing making it easy to grip even when wet and somewhat more damage resistant when accidentally dropped. The Water Cannon has a large handle on top which controls water flow. The large flow control handle is moved fully forward to shut the flow off and is pulled toward the user for infinite water flow and pressure control settings. This type of flow control is similar to that of a fireman’s hose. As mentioned above, there are seven different spray patterns available. There are high pressure, medium pressure, low pressure, needle spray, rinse spray, dual sweeper and a bucket fill patterns. What I like the most about this nozzle is the infinite flow and pressure control feature. It has a silky smooth operation and you do not have to continually depress the handle to maintain your desired flow. To choose different spray patterns, you simply rotate the face at the front of the nozzle. I did notice that when you rotate the face of the nozzle when changing spray patterns, the nozzle leaks a bit between settings, but once a setting is locked in there is no leakage. Where I find this nozzle lacking is that it doesn’t have what I would consider a true plant misting feature for very delicate plants. With that said, there are settings on the spray pattern selector which combined with the exceptional flow control feature would work fine for watering delicate plants. Price wise, at almost $20, the nozzle seems a bit overpriced, but it has been my experience that when you buy a cheaper nozzle ($4-$6) invariably they may only last a season if that. Overall I feel the Water Cannon nozzle is a quality made product that I would recommend.

perfect water canon

This is one nice water tool. I am impressed you do not have to hold a trigger while you water. I can shoot this thing and reach my plants from afar. You can adjust the handle so it waters in shorter limits and you could even turn it low so you can fill a container no problem. The thing can act almost as a pressure washer. Great for washing your car!

Solid construction, innovative design

Definitely a heavy duty nozzle. It is completely leak free, and has none of the fragile little springs, screws, etc. found on cheaper hose nozzles. Lot's of spray patterns to choose from - this entertained my three year old granddaughter for a good half hour, and I can tell you from personal experience you don't want to be on the receiving end of the "jet" setting. (she found my reaction to that particularly amusing). Obviously it's not a pressure washer but it is surprisingly powerful. Time will tell if it's as durable as it appears to be, but it feels very solid, and the volume lever is a welcome improvement over typical nozzles.

Great Quality & Ergonomics

The Orbit Pro Series Water Cannon may be on the expensive side when compared with your typical garden hose water nozzles, but it's worth the extra money in my opinion. It is a quality product that is well designed & well constructed. This is what I like about it: 1. Water flow adjustment using a large lever which is much better than a typical "trigger" as it doesn't cause hand fatigue from having to depress the trigger while using it, and it also stays in place once you find the right flow. 2. Offers multiple selectable patterns by rotating the spray head. Other nozzles have this option but this water cannon has more options than most, and the transition from one pattern to the other is seamless and feels good in the hand. 3. Really powerful jet spray mode that shoots water at least 50% farther than my previous nozzle (see pics). 4. Gentle rain-like spray mode that is great for watering delicate plants (see pics). 5. Ergonomics: this water cannon feels great in the hand despite being larger and heavier than the typical nozzle. The handle is very comfortable and is insulated to reduce the impact of water temperature on the user. It should last several years but only time will tell.

Own Three Every One Leaks

If you pack them away for the winter the inside gasket will inevitably leak. It appears to be an item specific gasket so don't waste your time looking for them because you will not find them. Called customer service and they will not help you if you do not have your receipt even though they carry a six-year warranty. I was ok with ordering the gasket and paying for them, but orbit does not have the internal gasket available for purchase. So, I have three of these that i have to throw away.
