I came in to place a special order for cabinetry that wasn’t stocked in the store. Of course, I found a couple other items as I wandered the store, and went up to the special order counter to finish my errand. While the staff were nice, they were being goofy and ultimately distracted each other to the point that important parts of my order’s info (contact information) were entered incorrectly despite me providing the info to them on my phone’s screen to reduce the chance for mistakes. As a result of the input errors, my order arrived and I was never notified. I called the store on the final day of my delivery window to see if the item was ready for pickup, only to be told it had been sitting for 3 days already. I never received a call to my number (which was entered correctly), and didn’t receive an email since they entered my email address incorrectly. While this store is pretty well organized and decently stocked, if they can’t get the staff to focus on their tasks, I wouldn’t advise doing more than routine shopping for in-stock items here. Placing a special order for other items seems to be a bit much for them to handle properly.

Yesterday my kids and I went to Home Depot to get supplies for a garden project. Paul in the Lumber Department spent a long time with our family helping us see different options and giving us good (needed) advice for the pros and cons of each choice. We were very grateful for the individual, unrushed attention. The cashier was also very helpful and understanding, as my baby was getting frustrated by the time we got to the check out. We were very impressed during the visit by their customer service!

I have had to do 2 different lengthy returns as we are remodeling several bathrooms and trying to find the correct cabinet hardware and bathroom accessories to match. Both Lauryn and Kathleen were incredibly patient and so upbeat to work with. Instead of acting annoyed they kept reassuring me that they were happy to help as I apologized for the large return.

I had to ask for help finding items 3 different times and 3 different employees. All were great and spot on with info.

I visited this store on 17Jan2023 (1 pm), encountered one employee who was just sitting on his rear watching the world go by, I did ask if he was comfortable, he said that he was. I asked if maybe I could get a cardboard tube like the ones used to wrap flooring products around (I needed something to use as a mailer), we went back to the dept desk, encountered a very verbally abusive/abrasive individual who told me that wasn't possible. I sent a letter to Rachel Grondin Store Manager about this, she blew me off indicated by the fact she chose not to respond to this, I did feel threatened by this person, if he had come at me like this on the street I may have had to 'stand my ground'. All true, nothing 'made up'.

Friendly, helpful employees. A wide variety of merchandise. Clean store. Competitive prices.

Nice store not always stocked , good people work there

An employee talked to me about a bathroom vent and asked all kinds of questions to help me decide what would be appropriate for my needs.

I was at the west Des Moines, Iowa Home Depot and was pressed for time. I got first class service and courtesy in my shopping there. I will definitely be back for my next needs.

We have found the employees and the HomeDepot store to be very helpful and efficient and knowledgeable about their products. They were kind, friendly and so very helpful.

I recently purchased a gas grill at HD. The lady who helped me with the purchase, Kathleen, was OUTSTANDING. Her willingness to help me, her friendly and pleasant manor was amazing! Thanks to her, I had a great shopping experience at HD...having the grill on sale helped too!

The new pick up lockers are great. You can get what you ordered at any time so you can finish a project.

Part of a mall property management/maintenance team; we buy everything we need from here. The store is dusty, and the store is difficult to navigate if you aren't familiar with shopping at The Home Depot. Maybe more direct signage would be helpful for customers like me

Pamela made me feel at home during me checkout experience. She deserves a raise or a promotion. Never met her before today, but would hire her if I needed someone like her.

Good but sometimes stocks are low

Asked two people for help they simply pointed. When I checked out I asked Joe the cashier if I had the correct lightbulbs as I was buying for my clinic. I was unsure what I was buying and wanted to make sure it was correct. He double checked for me and was beyond friendly! Thank You JOE
