I’ve met so many people who work at this store who have helped me out when they didn’t have to. I’m always surprised at how much extra time people give me in making sure I’m good. One employee, we'll call him Jam, made my night. He told me where the best taco and burrito places were in LA, made me laugh and did an amazing job with cutting the plywood I needed cut. He was happy to serve me and I was happy to get to know this guy who goes above and beyond. He said he’s been at the store since it opened and I understand why someone would enjoy working there. He makes the place a good and fun atmosphere. I think whatever he has in him I want it too. If more companies had employees like this or even people in the world had this mindset then we would be in a better world. Anyways, this specific Home Depot I’ve ran into multiple people that have gone beyond. One of the guys in the paint section did something similar and another guy in the key department. They also have this sweet thin lady on the key department that I saw her almost speed walk to come help me out. She’s the best and she’s from Lancaster! I’m at Home Depot a few times a week so I feel less stressed coming here when I’m running around with my head cut off knowing someone’s gonna help me and get whatever odd job I need done. Thank you!!!! Also, this is 100% a true customer and have no affiliation with anyone from HD. Just want to give praise for where it’s deserved.

This is a super store compared to other home depots in the neighborhood. Very friendly employees that are very helpful! Clean and organized!!

This is the busiest and most stocked Home Depot I have ever visited. The only complaint I have is how Home Depot allows the aggressive laborers run-about. The best part if this store is the wisdom given by their employees. I was helped by an Adam H in the electrical department one evening last week. He spent so much time advising me on what he thought was a better fit for my home improvement needs. I went with a flashier item but it didn’t work out. I went back and asked for him. When he saw me, he recognized me and asked how my project worked out. I told him I needed to buy what he suggested as mine didn’t work out. He was patient in helping me all over. Turns out, he was right! When I visit, I hope he will be there to advise me. What nice customer service!

Store #6616-Sunset is full of superstars! I am in-store once a week and absolutely every associate including the managers are extremely helpful, friendly, patient and nice. Confused. Untidy. Unhelpful floor staff. Marina del Rey store is so much better. (The cashiers however are great)

I needed lumber for a set design project and the team was so helpful and patient. They went above and beyond helping me select and cut the right wood for the project. As a novice builder I felt taken care of and not intimated. John the night manager was wonderfully helpful!

I visited the store on Hollywood a few days ago and made some purchases. The cashier, Linnea, was extremely helpful and patient. She was so professional and courteous that made the whole shopping experience very pleasant. I think she is definitely a valuable member of the HD team at this location. She has a charming personality and very well-mannered.

The associate at the appliance dept was friendly and with a smile. Very helpful

Sunset Home Depot is by far the best “go to” Home Depot in the LA area. Bustling, usually well stocked and I cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful (and occasionally insouciant- a good thing) the staff are there! I drive the extra few miles to make Sunset my store when time permits if projects are not already close by there. Please don’t change anything, you are the best. (Runner up is Marina Del Ray Home Depot, their tool rental dept kicks butt!).

This store is not complying with the guidelines of the State of California related to masks and COVID-19. Employees are allowing customers to walk around the store without masks, including at the cashier and customer service counters. I would not shop here if you are concerned with your health or the health of others.

Staff was very helpful and although there was a line it moved like clock work

EDDIE (DJ) RIDGEWAY AT THE PRO DESK IS PROBABLY THE BEST HD EMPLOYEE ANYWHERE. THERE IS ALWAYS STRESS AT THIS LOCATION BECAUSE OF HUNDREDS MILLING ABOUT OUTSIDE TRYING TO GET WORK. NOT PLEASANT AT ALL. MEANWHILE DJ PUTS EVERYONE AT EASE WITH A BIG SMILE, QUICK WIT AND A WELCOME BURST OF MORNING ENERGY!

Very helpful and friendly service. The store was very clean. Many associates walk around to assist you. The garden area is beautiful, lots of plants and herbs to choose from.

It's my go-to store for any home improvement project. Staffs are generally kind, helpful, and friendly, a few of them exceptionally stellar with their services. No unpleasant experience thus far!

The tool isle need to be blocked against pass-through traffic--you can't shop due to morons pushing carts full of non-tool items while loudly demanding the tool shoppers to move. This isle, very narrow with adjacent pillars making the matter worse; used to allow only one entrance. Since they allowed pass-through traffic, you can't spend more than a few seconds looking at hand tools without dodging carts and customers trying to squeeze by on the way to the check-out counter. VERY BAD DESIGN!!! Otherwise, the staff is helpful and the place well stocked; hence the 3 star rating (for a good staff, who deserve a 4) instead of the minus-5 star rating I would have otherwise given due to this one difficulty.

Beware of the perverted security guards. It’s bad enough that the average male customer doesn’t have any focus or discipline and must sexualize every woman in the store, it’s worse when it comes from the staff.

Really bad management team. I went to the store at 6pm to pick up an order. I walked out at 8:15pm Worse experience ever. Rude customer service associates. Stay away from special ordering.

I have to say that I had written this store off years ago. I've lived in the Hollywood area for over 20 years and whenever I went there, I felt like the employees had an attitude. I wouldn't even bother asking for assistance because I didn't want to deal with it. I'm not sure if it was management issues but I'm glad to see that that has changed. I go there often now because the have a great selection and the staffs is helpful and friendly. What ever they did, it worked.
