I purchased and had a mirrored bifold door installed a few years ago, but my tenant damaged it. All I need is to have the door popped out, and the new one popped in. Home Depot and their installation contractor charged $430 for labor!!! I can't do it myself, because it's too heavy. They are charging me $150 for hazardous material (lead paint), because my house was built in 1971, one year before the cutoff. What lead paint, it's a door! I was told, they have to replace the top track for the guarantee. I'm selling the house, and don't need a guarantee. This is insane. 3 or 4 screws to replace a rail that is working fine, are going to cost me $150?? If I had time, I would just buy the door and hire a handyman. The door itself is only $219, so almost 2x just to swap out a door! I'm livid.

The associate in plumbing assisted me to get the correct part I needed, and explained why I had gotten the wrong part a short time earlier (without assistance). Very knowledgeable

I have consistently shopped at this store for 10+ years and always find it clean, organized, and friendly. Items I need are almost always in stock. Bought a shed last weekend and didn't have to wait around to load it into my truck; got help immediately on a busy Saturday.

Not friendly or knowledgeable staff, they will send you on wild goose chases.

I appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of all the employees of this Home Depot. I especially appreciated my cashier, Matthew, who assisted me in getting my military discount when the QR code wouldn't scan. My HomeDepot in TN insisted on having the QR code but Matthew was able to give me my military discount with my military id.

I was struggling trying to pick a paint color for my new home. Matt, the guy with the Mohawk haircut was very helpful. He explained the different shades and made my decision much easier.

I had to visit store innumerable times to schedule my delivery and still ended up having items missing delivered. Highly not recommended.

i found everything on my wifes to do list with help from staff all the way to the end. Amazing, the staff went from department to department and made sure i completed my wifes list, saved me.

This store is located in a perfect area where many new contractors and homeowners either renovate their property or build new houses; however, the store needs to provide complete rental tools.

Outstanding customer service and team. Answered my questions, made the transaction and assisted me with large heavy box. In todays day and age we can use many more like Jacob!

Today two employees gave me a delightful shopping experience. One, just inside the front door, saved my time by pointing out that the product I needed (lean leaf bags) was conveniently only a few steps away - no need to go elsewhere in the store where it's mainly stocked. The other employee, a Cashier, efficiently rung up the sale with a friendly smile, thank-you and fun appearance in her Halloween costume! : )

I used to live in Houston and moved over from there in June. I can definitely say Schaumburg store is the cleanest Homedepot store I have ever visited, and items are organized so well. So, I do not need to try other stores or competitors stores.

Rich (Rick) Hirschberg at the Pro Desk was beyond helpful. He was so knowledgeable, patient, responsive, as well as kind, when helping us design our deck. If you are adding/modifying your deck, go to this store, and ask for Rick! I promise you won’t be disappointed and have the best customer service experience in your life!
